Operations manager

We’re hiring an Operations Manager (Perm. Part-Time.) to join our growing team.

Fruto is a UX Design studio based in Oxford. We design intuitive interfaces and meaningful experiences for the web, mobile and emerging technologies. Term: Permanent. Part-time.

Salary:  £25,000-£30,000 per annum pro rata

Reporting to: Managing Director


Projects and resourcing management, such as:

  • Scheduling effectively our teams’ workload

  • Liaising with team members, suppliers and clients on project delivery, budget,  timeframes and contracts

  • Prepare, plan and managing projects

  • Getting estimates, preparing project proposals and sending to clients

Admin, marketing and design assistance, such as:

  • Scheduling and preparing social media posts

  • Setting up, preparing content and sending out marketing newsletter

  • Invoicing clients and book-keeping

  • Plan and organise our events (such as our webinars, training and internal staff events)

  • Scheduling users and stakeholders for UX research

Analysis and reporting on projects’ performance, such as:

  • Regularly evaluate projects’ budgets, profitability and resourcing allocation

  • Give regular updates to Managing Director on projects and team progress and performance

The ideal candidate

  • You enjoy working in teams and have great people skills

  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)

  • Exceptional organisational and time management skills

  • Thorough attention to detail

  • You love good design and good user experiences and want to be part of a team that is delivering the best design we can to our clients

  • Experience working in digital/tech teams or design agencies


  • Knowledge of digital project (web/mobile apps) processes which includes designers

  • Experience working with digital project management tools such as Harvest, Trello, Google Docs and Sheets

Fruto is predominantly a remote team based in Oxfordshire.

During the Covid-19 pandemic, we are not having any in-person meetings and we're all working from our own homes.

In "normal" circumstances (ie. outside of the pandemic), you can work remotely from your home or from a co-working desk that we can provide in central Oxford. You must be able to attend regular in-person meetings in Oxford (at least once a week) and occasionally travel to client meetings in South-East England.

Working hours

The hours for this part-time role are negotiable. Our standard for full-time is 35 hours and our core working hours are 10am until 3pm, being flexible either side.
